Police seeking footage of hit-and-run on Jasper Avenue Friday night

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding any footage of a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Jasper Avenue on Friday night.

According to authorities, the incident took place around 10:30 p.m. near 109 Street. A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene.

The victim, a 32-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. He is currently in stable condition.

Police are now seeking any surveillance or dashcam footage from the area that may have captured the incident. They are also asking anyone who may have witnessed the hit-and-run to come forward with any information.

In a statement, Sgt. Kevin Kobi with the Edmonton Police Service said, “We are urging anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident to check their cameras and contact us if they have any footage that could assist in our investigation.”

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored sedan, possibly a Honda Civic, with damage to the front end. It was last seen heading west on Jasper Avenue.
