Elks unveil new alternate uniform for 75th anniversary season

The Edmonton Elks have revealed their new alternate uniform in celebration of their 75th anniversary season. The team, formerly known as the Edmonton Football Team, unveiled the new look on Tuesday, May 4th.

The alternate uniform features a bold and modern design, with a black base and gold accents. The iconic elk logo is prominently displayed on the front of the jersey, while the team’s name is emblazoned across the chest in gold lettering.

According to the team’s president and CEO, Chris Presson, the new alternate uniform pays homage to the team’s history while also looking towards the future. “We wanted to create a uniform that would not only honor our past, but also represent the strength and determination of our team,” Presson stated.

The alternate uniform will be worn for select games during the 2021 season, which kicks off on August 7th. Fans can purchase their own replica jerseys starting on May 5th.

This unveiling comes after the team announced their name change from the Edmonton Football Team to the Edmonton Elks in March. The name change was met with mixed reactions from fans, but the team is confident that the new name and alternate uniform will bring a fresh energy to the upcoming season.

The Edmonton Elks have a rich history, with 14 Grey Cup championships and a loyal fan base. The team is excited to celebrate their 75th anniversary season with this new alternate uniform and hopes to make their fans proud on the field.

Fans can catch the Edmonton Elks in action at Commonwealth Stadium this season, and keep an eye out for the new alternate uniform on the field.
