Calgary, AB – It was supposed to be a dream come true for the owners of a new e-bike shop in Calgary. However, just one month after opening, their excitement has turned into devastation as their store was targeted by thieves.
The incident occurred on Monday night at the E-Bike Hub located on 17 Avenue S.W. The shop’s owners, who have chosen to remain anonymous, arrived at their store on Tuesday morning to find the front door smashed and several e-bikes missing.
“It’s absolutely devastating,” said one of the owners. “We put our heart and soul into this business and to have it targeted by thieves so soon after opening is heartbreaking.”
The owners estimate that the stolen e-bikes are worth around $20,000. They are now left with a damaged storefront and a significant financial loss.
The Calgary Police Service is currently investigating the incident and is asking anyone with information to come forward. They are also reminding business owners to take necessary precautions to secure their property.
“We are devastated by this incident and are doing everything we can to support the police in their investigation,” said the owner. “We hope that justice will be served and that these thieves will be caught.”
The E-Bike Hub had quickly gained popularity in the community, with many customers praising the store’s selection and customer service. The owners had big plans for the future, including expanding their inventory and offering e-bike rentals.
“We were so excited to be a part of the growing e-bike community in Calgary,” said the owner. “But now, we are left picking up the pieces and trying to move forward.”
The owners have expressed their gratitude for the support they have received from the community and are determined to not let this setback stop them from pursuing their passion for e-bikes.
“We will not let these thieves win,” said the owner. “We will come back stronger and continue to provide our customers with the best e-bike experience possible.”
The E-Bike Hub is currently closed while the owners work to repair the damage and restock their inventory. They hope to reopen as soon as possible and continue to serve the community.
