The convenience store, located at 15303 Castle Downs Road, is the first 7-Eleven in Edmonton to offer alcohol and food options. This comes after the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) approved the store’s application for a Class D liquor license.
According to the AGLC, a Class D license allows for the sale of beer, wine, and spirits for off-site consumption. This means that customers can purchase alcohol from the store and consume it elsewhere, but not on the premises.

The store has also implemented strict measures to ensure responsible alcohol sales. All employees have undergone mandatory training on responsible alcohol service and will be required to check identification for anyone who appears to be under the age of 25.
