A tragic collision in Brampton has left one person dead and two others injured.
According to Peel Regional Police, the incident occurred on Sunday evening at the intersection of Steeles Avenue East and Bramalea Road. The collision involved two vehicles, a sedan and a pickup truck.
Emergency services were called to the scene and found one person trapped inside the sedan. Despite their efforts, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The two occupants of the pickup truck were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours as police investigated the cause of the collision. It has since been reopened.
