A driver struck two teenagers near a school in Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Quebec on Monday morning, leaving one in critical condition.
According to police, the incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Chemin Principal, near École secondaire des Îles. The two teenagers, both 16 years old, were walking on the sidewalk when they were hit by a vehicle.
One of the teenagers suffered critical injuries and was transported to a hospital in Montreal by air ambulance. The other teenager sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
