After an extensive search and interview process, the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley has announced that Rob Nolan will be taking on the role of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
Nolan, who currently serves as the CAO for the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in municipal government. He has been in his current position for over 10 years and has also held various roles in other municipalities throughout Ontario.
According to Mayor Brant Burrow, Nolan stood out among the other candidates due to his strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and commitment to community engagement. “We are confident that Mr. Nolan will be an excellent addition to our team and will help guide our township towards a prosperous future,” said Burrow.
Nolan’s responsibilities as CAO will include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the township, providing advice and support to council, and implementing policies and programs to benefit the community. He will also work closely with other municipal departments and external stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services to residents.
In his previous role, Nolan was instrumental in implementing several successful initiatives, including the development of a long-term strategic plan and the creation of a community engagement program. He also has a strong track record of fiscal responsibility and has helped his previous municipality achieve a balanced budget for several consecutive years.
Nolan expressed his excitement for the new opportunity, stating, “I am honored to have been chosen as the new CAO for Elizabethtown-Kitley and I am eager to work with the dedicated staff and council to serve the needs of the community.”
Nolan will officially begin his role as CAO on January 1st, 2021. The township is confident that his expertise and leadership will contribute to the continued growth and success of Elizabethtown-Kitley.
