Victoria police appeal for information in pellet gun shooting

Victoria Police are seeking the public’s help in their investigation of a pellet gun shooting that occurred on Monday evening.

According to authorities, the incident took place around 7:30 p.m. in the 900-block of Pandora Avenue. A 25-year-old man was walking in the area when he was struck by a pellet fired from a passing vehicle.

The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics. He did not require further medical attention.

Police are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information about the suspect vehicle to come forward. They are also asking for any surveillance footage from the area that may have captured the incident.

In a statement, Victoria Police spokesperson Const. Cam MacIntyre emphasized the seriousness of the incident, stating, “This was a reckless and dangerous act that could have resulted in serious injury or worse.”

He also urged the public to be cautious and aware of their surroundings, especially when walking alone at night.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-coloured sedan, possibly a Honda Civic, with tinted windows and a loud exhaust. The driver is believed to be a man in his 20s with short dark hair.
