A young child in Montreal was injured after being struck by a truck on Monday afternoon.
According to authorities, the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the borough of Saint-Laurent. The child, whose age and gender have not been disclosed, was hit by a truck while crossing the street at the intersection of Côte-Vertu Boulevard and Cavendish Boulevard.
Emergency services were immediately called to the scene and the child was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
