The Windsor Spitfires pulled off an impressive comeback to defeat the London Knights 4-3 in a thrilling game on Friday night.

The Spitfires started off strong, with forward Will Cuylle scoring the first goal of the game just over a minute into the first period. However, the Knights quickly responded with two goals of their own, taking the lead.

The second period saw the Knights extend their lead to 3-1, putting the Spitfires in a tough position. But the Spitfires refused to give up and fought back in the third period.

Forward Egor Afanasyev scored a power-play goal early in the third period, bringing the Spitfires within one goal. Then, with just over five minutes left in the game, Spitfires’ captain Luke Boka tied the game with a goal of his own.

The crowd at the WFCU Centre erupted as Spitfires’ forward Tyler Angle scored the game-winning goal with just 1:22 left on the clock. The Spitfires held on to their lead for the remainder of the game, securing a well-deserved victory.

This win marks the Spitfires’ third consecutive victory and brings their record to 6-2-0-0 for the season. It also marks their first win against the Knights this season, after losing their previous two matchups.

The Spitfires will look to continue their winning streak as they take on the Sarnia Sting on Sunday afternoon. With their recent comeback victory, the Spitfires have proven that they are a force to be reckoned with in the Ontario Hockey League.
