Brockville Man Arrested on Drug and Weapons Charges
A Brockville man is facing multiple charges after a recent police raid on his residence.
According to the Brockville Police Service, the raid took place on Tuesday morning at a home on King Street West. The operation was a joint effort between the Brockville Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau.
During the raid, police seized a significant amount of illegal drugs, including cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl. They also found a loaded handgun, ammunition, and other weapons.
As a result, 35-year-old Brockville resident, John Smith, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of a firearm without a license.
Smith appeared in court on Wednesday and was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Friday for a bail hearing.
