Brantford Bulldogs’ Caleb Malhotra Makes His Mark in OHL Junior Hockey
The Brantford Bulldogs have a new rising star in their midst – Caleb Malhotra. The 17-year-old forward has been making waves in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with his impressive skills and determination on the ice.
Malhotra, a native of Brantford, Ontario, has been playing hockey since the age of four. He quickly developed a passion for the sport and has been working tirelessly to improve his game ever since. His hard work and dedication have paid off, as he was recently drafted by the Bulldogs in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection.
Since joining the Bulldogs, Malhotra has been a standout player on the team. In his first season, he recorded 12 goals and 14 assists in 58 games, earning him a spot on the OHL’s Second All-Rookie Team. This season, he has continued to impress, with 10 goals and 12 assists in just 25 games.
Malhotra’s success on the ice can be attributed to his strong work ethic and determination. He is known for his speed, agility, and playmaking abilities, making him a valuable asset to the Bulldogs. His coaches and teammates have praised him for his leadership skills and positive attitude, both on and off the ice.
In addition to his success with the Bulldogs, Malhotra has also represented Canada on the international stage. He was a member of Team Canada’s U17 team at the 2019 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, where he recorded three goals and two assists in six games.
Malhotra’s talent and potential have not gone unnoticed by NHL scouts. He was recently ranked 53rd among North American skaters in the NHL Central Scouting’s midterm rankings for the 2021 NHL Draft.
