Callander is set to light up tonight as the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony takes place in the town’s main square.
The event, organized by the Callander Lions Club, will kick off at 6:30 pm with a special performance by the Callander Community Choir. The choir, made up of local residents, will be singing classic Christmas carols to get everyone in the holiday spirit.
Following the choir’s performance, Mayor Robb Noon will officially light up the town’s Christmas tree, which stands tall at 20 feet. The tree, donated by a local family, has been decorated with hundreds of twinkling lights and ornaments, making it a sight to behold.
In addition to the tree lighting, there will also be hot chocolate and cookies available for attendees to enjoy, courtesy of the Callander Lions Club. The club will also be collecting donations for their annual Christmas hamper program, which provides food and gifts to families in need during the holiday season.
The Christmas tree lighting ceremony has become a beloved tradition in Callander, bringing the community together to celebrate the start of the holiday season. It is a time for families and friends to come together, enjoy some festive music, and spread joy and cheer.
The event is free and open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend and join in on the festivities. So bundle up, grab your loved ones, and head down to the main square in Callander tonight to witness the town light up for the most wonderful time of the year.
