The show, titled “Laughs in the 1000 Islands,” will feature a lineup of talented comedians from across Canada and the United States. It is set to take place at the Brockville Arts Centre on October 15th.
The brainchild of local comedian and producer, Mark Vincent, the show aims to bring laughter and entertainment to the community while showcasing the diverse range of comedic talent in the region.
Vincent, who has been performing stand-up comedy for over 20 years, is excited to bring this show to his hometown. He believes that Brockville has a lot to offer in terms of comedy and is thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase it.
The lineup for “Laughs in the 1000 Islands” includes headliner, Derek Seguin, who has been featured on Just for Laughs and the Halifax Comedy Festival. Other comedians on the bill include Rachelle Elie, Kyle Brownrigg, and local talent, Chris Jarvie.
The show will also feature a special guest appearance by Brockville’s own, Mayor Jason Baker, who will be taking the stage for a stand-up comedy debut.
Tickets for the show are now on sale and can be purchased through the Brockville Arts Centre website or at the box office. Prices range from $25 to $35, with VIP tickets available for $50, which includes a meet and greet with the comedians.
Vincent hopes that “Laughs in the 1000 Islands” will become an annual event, bringing laughter and joy to the community for years to come. He also plans to expand the show to other cities in the region, showcasing the wealth of comedic talent in Eastern Ontario.
