Kelowna Snowmobile Club and RCMP Seek Public’s Help in Finding Stolen Sled
The Kelowna Snowmobile Club and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a stolen snowmobile.
According to the Kelowna RCMP, the sled was reported stolen on January 15th from a residence on the 2000 block of Richter Street. The snowmobile is described as a 2019 Ski-Doo Summit SP 850 E-TEC, with a black and yellow color scheme.
The Kelowna Snowmobile Club is a non-profit organization that promotes safe and responsible snowmobiling in the community. They are deeply concerned about the theft of this sled and are working closely with the RCMP to recover it.
“We are devastated by the theft of this snowmobile,” said a representative from the Kelowna Snowmobile Club. “Not only is it a valuable piece of equipment, but it also represents our passion for snowmobiling and our commitment to promoting safe and responsible riding.”
The RCMP is actively investigating the theft and is asking anyone with information to come forward. They are also reminding the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
“We are urging anyone who may have seen or heard anything related to this theft to contact us,” said Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy of the Kelowna RCMP. “We also want to remind the public to secure their belongings and report any suspicious activity to help prevent future thefts.”
The stolen snowmobile has a BC license plate number of 2E8-940 and a VIN of 2BPSCCJ1XKV000001. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
