Police Confirm No Injuries as Car Found in Water

In a recent incident, police have confirmed that there were no injuries after a car was found submerged in water. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon at the Brockville waterfront.

According to the Brockville Police Service, they received a call around 2:30 pm about a car that had driven into the water near Blockhouse Island. Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle partially submerged in the water.

Thankfully, the driver of the vehicle was able to escape and was found safe on shore. The driver was the only occupant of the car and did not sustain any injuries.

The Brockville Fire Department and Leeds and Grenville Paramedic Service were also on the scene to assist with the incident. The vehicle was later removed from the water by a tow truck.

At this time, the cause of the incident is still under investigation. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact the Brockville Police Service at 613-342-0127.
