An unexpected engine issue forced an Air Canada flight to return to Pearson Airport shortly after takeoff on Monday evening.
According to a statement from Air Canada, flight AC715 was en route to Vancouver when the pilots noticed a potential issue with one of the engines. As a precautionary measure, they decided to turn the plane around and return to Toronto.

Passengers were accommodated on a different flight to Vancouver later that evening.
Air Canada has confirmed that the aircraft is currently undergoing maintenance and the cause of the engine issue is being investigated.
