Four men have been charged with murder in connection to a fatal shooting in Surrey, according to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).

The incident occurred on April 19, 2021, when Surrey RCMP responded to reports of shots fired in the 6700 block of 130 Street. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim, later identified as 30-year-old Sumeet Randhawa, succumbed to his injuries.

Following an extensive investigation, IHIT announced on April 27 that four men have been charged with first-degree murder in connection to Randhawa’s death. The accused have been identified as 22-year-old Harman Singh Dhesi, 21-year-old Harman Singh Dhaliwal, 20-year-old Dyllan James Green, and 20-year-old Noah Didier.

All four men are currently in custody and are scheduled to appear in court on May 3.

IHIT has not released any further details about the suspects or their alleged involvement in the shooting. However, they have stated that the incident is believed to be targeted and linked to the ongoing Lower Mainland gang conflict.

Randhawa’s death marks the 10th homicide in Surrey this year, and the 11th in the Lower Mainland. IHIT is urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and assist with the investigation.

This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing issue of gang violence in the Lower Mainland and the devastating impact it has on families and communities. The Surrey RCMP and IHIT are committed to working together to bring those responsible for this senseless act of violence to justice.

As the investigation continues, IHIT is asking anyone with information to contact them at 1-877-551-4448 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
