On May 31, 2023, uniform officers from the 8 District (Grimsby / West Lincoln / Lincoln) office of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to reports of six residential break and enters in the Town of Lincoln.
Officers responded to the areas of John Street, Dennis Avenue and Arejay Avenue in Lincoln (Beamsville). The initial investigations determined that a male suspect entered the properties and homes while the owners were inside asleep through unlocked doors. The suspect stole electronics, cash, tools, alcohol, vehicle keys, wallets, purses. Losses from the multiple residences will likely exceed $20,000.
In one incident the homeowner awoke to find the suspect in her John Street residence. The suspect ran from the scene eastbound towards Bartlett Street. An NRPS K9 Unit attended the area and conducted an extensive track and search for the suspect, however the suspect was not located.
The suspect (see photos) is described as:
White male Skinny to medium build Approximately 5’10 – 6’0 tall
The suspect was wearing:
Black pants Bright blue running shoes Work/carpenter gloves Beige construction hoodie with “DeWalt’ in black print across chest (similar to photo)
The investigation has been assigned to 8 District detectives. The identity of the suspect is unknown. Detectives have found that the suspect caused little to no damage to the homes when committing his crimes. The suspect targeted residences where the yard gates and exterior doors were left unlocked. Detectives would like to remind members of the public to ensure their homes, property, and vehicles are locked and secure every night. The quantity of items stolen also suggests the suspect had a vehicle nearby to store stolen property and to flee the area.

Anyone (residents, businesses, and commercial properties) in the area with closed circuit security cameras, doorbell video cameras, or dash cameras are asked to review their footage for suspicious activity, the suspect and / or, a suspicious vehicle for the period between May 30, 2023, at 11:00pm and May 31, 2023, at 6:00am.
