Toronto Police are currently on the lookout for a suspect accused of sexual assault, who allegedly removed his court-ordered ankle monitor. The incident occurred on Monday, May 31st, in the area of Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue.
According to police, the suspect, identified as 35-year-old John Smith, was released on bail with strict conditions, including wearing an ankle monitor. However, on Monday evening, Smith allegedly removed the monitor and fled the area.
The victim, a 25-year-old woman, reported the sexual assault to police and provided a description of the suspect. The investigation led to the identification of Smith as the suspect.
Smith is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, with a medium build and short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and black shoes.
Police are urging the public to not approach Smith if he is seen, as he is considered dangerous. Instead, anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately.
