The market capitalization of the top 10 most valued firms in India has seen a significant increase, with a collective gain of Rs 96,201 crore. This surge has been led by Reliance Industries and Bajaj Finance, who have emerged as the biggest winners.

According to data from the stock exchange, the market capitalization of Reliance Industries rose by Rs 28,464.81 crore to reach Rs 13,33,075.66 crore. This increase can be attributed to the company’s recent announcement of becoming a net debt-free company ahead of its target date of March 2021.

Bajaj Finance, on the other hand, saw a jump of Rs 20,590.72 crore in its market capitalization, taking it to Rs 2,91,627.35 crore. This surge can be attributed to the company’s strong financial performance in the last quarter, with a 19% increase in its consolidated net profit.

Other companies that saw a rise in their market capitalization include HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever Limited, HDFC, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Infosys, and Tata Consultancy Services. These companies collectively added Rs 46,145.47 crore to their market capitalization.

On the other hand, the market capitalization of Tata Consultancy Services, Hindustan Unilever Limited, and HDFC Bank saw a decline, with a combined loss of Rs 4,409.47 crore.

The overall market capitalization of the BSE-listed companies stood at Rs 1,38,54,779.44 crore, with an increase of Rs 1,01,401.41 crore from the previous trading session.
