London Knights General Manager Mark Hunter has revealed the team’s plan following a major trade that has left them as underdogs in the junior hockey league.
In a recent interview, Hunter discussed the team’s strategy moving forward after trading away several key players in exchange for draft picks and prospects.
The Knights, who have a long history of success in the Ontario Hockey League, made the decision to rebuild their roster in order to secure a strong future for the team.
Hunter emphasized that the trade was not a sign of giving up on the current season, but rather a strategic move to ensure the team’s long-term success.
“We have a plan in place and we’re sticking to it,” Hunter stated. “We believe in the players we have and the ones we have acquired through the trade. We are confident that they will help us achieve our goals in the future.”
The Knights have a strong track record of developing young talent, with many players going on to have successful careers in the NHL. Hunter believes that this trade will only strengthen that reputation.
“We have a great scouting and development system in place,” Hunter said. “We are confident that the players we have acquired will thrive under our coaching and training programs.”
While the Knights may face some challenges in the short term, Hunter remains optimistic about the team’s future.
“We have a clear vision for the team and we are committed to building a strong and competitive roster,” he stated. “We ask for the support and patience of our fans as we work towards our ultimate goal of winning a championship.”
The London Knights have a long road ahead of them, but with a solid plan in place and a dedicated team, they are determined to come out on top.
