A recent incident in North Bay has left a local treasurer and their family shaken after their vehicle was stolen while their children were left inside.

According to reports, the treasurer had left their children in the unlocked vehicle while they quickly ran into a nearby store. In the short time they were inside, their vehicle, a 2017 Toyota Highlander, was stolen.

The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:30 pm in the parking lot of a local grocery store. The treasurer’s children, aged 6 and 8, were left unattended in the vehicle for less than 10 minutes.
