Whistler RCMP are currently on the search for the family of a young child who was found barefoot and non-verbal at a Dairy Queen in the popular ski resort town.

According to authorities, the child, believed to be around 4 years old, was discovered by a concerned citizen at the Dairy Queen on Village Gate Boulevard on Sunday afternoon. The child was unable to communicate with the citizen and was not wearing any shoes.

The RCMP were immediately contacted and have since been working tirelessly to locate the child’s family. They have released a photo of the child in hopes that someone will recognize them and come forward with information.

“We are very concerned for the well-being of this child and are urging anyone who may know their identity or their family to come forward,” said Sgt. Sascha Banks of the Whistler RCMP.

The child is described as having blonde hair and blue eyes, and was wearing a red t-shirt and blue shorts at the time of being found. The RCMP have also stated that the child appears to be in good health and is currently in the care of the Ministry of Children and Family Development.

The RCMP are asking anyone with information to contact them immediately at 604-932-3044. They are also reminding parents and caregivers to always keep a close eye on their children, especially in busy public places.

As the search for the child’s family continues, the RCMP are grateful for the community’s support and assistance in this matter. They are hopeful that the child will be reunited with their loved ones soon.
