Born and raised in Tyendinaga, Kelsey was a proud member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte. She was a respected leader and a role model for many in the community. Kelsey was also a strong advocate for education and was instrumental in establishing the Tyendinaga Mohawk Language Nest, a program that promotes the preservation and revitalization of the Mohawk language.
