Three Ottawa teens charged with armed robberies in Gatineau

Two Ottawa teenagers have been charged in connection with a series of armed robberies in Gatineau, according to police.

The first incident occurred on October 5th, when two individuals entered a convenience store on Boulevard Saint-Joseph and demanded money from the cashier while brandishing a weapon. The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Less than a week later, on October 11th, a similar incident took place at a gas station on Boulevard Saint-Raymond. Two suspects entered the store, threatened the cashier with a weapon, and made off with cash and cigarettes.

Following an investigation by the Gatineau Police Service, two 17-year-old males from Ottawa were arrested on October 14th. They have been charged with two counts of armed robbery and two counts of wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.

The identities of the suspects cannot be revealed due to their age. They appeared in court on October 15th and have been remanded into custody until their next court appearance on October 22nd.

The Gatineau Police Service is reminding the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. They also urge business owners to take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of their employees and customers.
